What is it about?

The fact that PKD is variable in terms of genetic mutations and cyst growth progression indicates the presence of modifying factors. We examined collecting duct-derived cysts at the pre-cystic stage via RNA sequencing showing core gene data set in the setting of cyst formation. Although we underlined the importance of some of the genes in the concept of our interest, the presented RNA-seq analysis may help identify core genes that are involved in PKD-relevant abnormalities and give a new perspective for therapeutic applications.
