We outline the magnitude of the surge of COVID19 patients with AKI or ESRD and the tremendous strain on resources, both in terms of personnel and dialysis capability. Our response to this surge is documented.

A careful and coordinated data-driven approach is essential to tackling the surge of patients during a pandemic. Multiple stakeholders including nephrologists, nursing, supply chain and industry need to come together to provide a meaningful response
