What is it about?
In developing countries like Iran, rural roads crashes are generally recorded with low accuracy. Due to this fact, in this study, two new methods were proposed for assigning crashes to road segments. In the first method, the observed crashes are assigned to segments based on the exposure index, and, in the second method, they are assigned based on the Highway Safety Manual’s (HSM) crash prediction model.
