What is it about?
Changing climate conditions will impact geotechnical infrastructure such as embankments through altered environmental loads. These altered environmental loads include changes in temperature and relative humidity (RH) which significantly influences embankment behaviour. Using a newly developed environmental chamber for use in centrifuge modelling, this paper examines the impact of temperature and relative humidity on the performance of a clay embankment.
