Investigation of spudcan–soil interaction in a sloped seabed using centrifuge model tests

What is it about?

The extraction of oil and gas in the offshore is important task for energy production. The mobile platform which can extract the oil in the selected site is widely used in the offshore. To fix the platform in the offshore, the legs adopted in the mobile platform should be lowered and fixed into the seabed. Therefore, the design of leg and interaction between the leg and soil is important. We investigated the interaction behavior between the soil and legs which is very important design issues for the leg design.
