What is it about?
The Ordsall Chord railway project interacted with a number of historic railway assets forming part of the 1830 Liverpool and Manchester Railway. This first part of the paper discusses how the project was delivered and how heritage consents were secured, describes the history of the heritage assets, and explains the design of key elements of the new civil engineering works.
