Why is it important?
The existing code and guidance documents on Eurocode 7 don't cover numerical methods but they are being used increasingly in geotechnical design so this paper provides some guidance. It also describes how numerical methods may be covered in the upcoming revision to Eurocode 7.
Perspectives
I hope it sheds some light on an area not covered in the current Eurocode 7.
