Why is it important?

We have defined "scholar" to encompass both academics and practitioners. As our survey results show, the latter is an important contributor to scholarly publishing. In addition, no recent surveys of this type have been conducted in Pakistani among the LIS profession.

Perspectives

The article is a starting rather than end point. The LIS profession within Pakistan is keen to enhance its intentional profile. Therefore the article's real value is in having identified additional areas for follow-up research.
