What is it about?

This is about libraries, archives and museums putting effort into indigenous knowledge preservation in such a way as to acknowledging the sources of the knowledge, respecting their intellectual property rights and giving due to these knowledge holders.

Why is it important?

It is important to document indigenous knowledge because of its usefulness in decision making, and to do this in a respectful manner.

Perspectives

I hope this article makes people think a bit differently about indigenous preservation, and that libraries, archives and museums put more effort into respectfully approaching issues of indigenous knowledge preservation especially the policies.
