What is it about?
Financial instruments are securities, such as shares or bonds, which are traded on financial markets, for instance on stock exchanges. Under current German law, virtually all such instruments require a physical underlying in the form of a paper document. This book calls for a reform in kine with other jurisdictions, which have dematerialised their financial instruments and allowed property rights in intangible securities.
