What is it about?

Crayfish can be unwanted pests when they are introduced into new habitats, and one of the main ways this happens is when people released unwanted pet crayfish. Some places have laws against even owning pet crayfish, and I wanted to see if people paid attention to these laws. This paper shows they probably don't.

Why is it important?

If laws on the books don't work to reduced the ownership of pet crayfish, we need another approach to the problem.
