Why is it important?
Prior to this publication, the biogeographic aspects of this group were poorly studied and only superficially addressed in the literature.
Perspectives
We hope that this work can help to understand the results of future molecular analyzes on Aldama, aiming to elucidate important aspects about the factors involved in determining their distribution patterns and the group's biogeographic and diversification history.
