Why is it important?

This article identified what was known about student nurses preparation for caring for people at the end of life. It demonstrates that new graduate perceptions are not well represented in this literature and more research needs to be done in order to describe this important aspect.

Perspectives

As a lecturer of student nurses, I am constantly wanting to update my practice based on best evidence. This article assisted me to be sure that my current practice is best practice and has also driven me and my colleagues to undertake further research about new graduate nurses perceptions of how well prepared they are for practice in this area.
