What is it about?
Mitochondria coordinate their systems with other organelles by sending multiple signals to the nucleus. The problem is that the signal can be "censored" in cytoplasm by external factors. In our review we discussed known mechanisms of mitochondria-to-nucleus signalling in yeast. We suggested that a specific combination of factors exported by mitochondria can provide a unbiased information about mitochondria status to nucleus.
