What is it about?

This research project investigates the ways in which 21 pastors understand and have come to terms with the relationship between formal academic preparation (i.e. theory) and the actual practice of professional ministry.

Why is it important?

Professors must realize that students have the ability to develop reflective thinking beyond technical skills and observation techniques. The context of reflective thinking may not only happen in the classroom, but may be further developed in places of practice, such as the practicum or internship, that give opportunities to reflect on the relationship between theory and practice.
