What is it about?
Contemporary Pagan Studies is a relatively new field of study--having developed in the last 30 years. This essay discusses how I became and was one of the scholars that helped to create this subfield.

This issue of the Pom, along with my article is important in understanding how new areas of inquiry are developed and how scholars find their areas of interest.
Perspectives
I enjoyed having the opportunity to write this essay. It was a rare moment in which I stopped writing about Contemporary Pagans and sociology of religion and reflected on my own scholarly trajectory.
