Why is it important?
In our current technological world, algorithms and computers are used for almost everything. This paper outlines and defends the use of computers to study religion in the most up-to-date ways available.
Perspectives
This is one of the publications I feel outlines the future of the cognitive approach to religion better than many others. It combines a discussion of current computer modeling techniques with a fairly traditional approach to understanding religion through carefully thought out correspondence between method, theory, and data.
