Perspectives

The article provides a useful overview for students involved in the study of Islam or Muslims in Britain both at undergraduate or postgraduate levels. It is not definitive and is, to some degree, influenced by my own engagement with the field since the 1980s. However, in spite of this limitation, it is, in my opinion useful to the study of the field.
