Why is it important?

The intestinal microflora occupies an important place in maintaining homeostasis, since it regulates the development of the immune system after birth. Disturbance of the balance of intestinal microbiota can serve as one of the causative factors for the development of infectious diseases, namely, rotavirus infection. The state of microbiocenosis in young children largely determines the course of the disease, its severity, duration and timing of sanation from the pathogen in the case of rotavirus infection

Perspectives

In order to normalize the intestinal microbiota after rotavirus infection with mono-and mixed-variants, it is possible to supplement standard treatment regimens with drugs to correct dysbiotic disorders.
