What is it about?

The work shows the preparation and characterization of composite materials using a polymer as a matrix (ABS) and carbon black or a graphenic material (graphene or graphene foam).

Why is it important?

This work was carried out with the purpose of having necessary parameters for the realization of filaments of polymeric matrices together with a reinforcement, in this case the carbon black (CB), graphene (G) graphene foam (GF), graphene and extruding the composite material in filament form was used to make 3D printing and likewise, verify the parameters they have to use in the process and the interdependence between them.

Perspectives

The use of composite materials of graphenic materials with polymers have an outstanding potential to suit the necessities in many applications. The 3D printing represents an important capability accessible to people to make real their ideas. Combining these, material and process, there are so many things that can be done to solve real problems and create amazing designs with high performance.
