Why is it important?
Organizational structure impacts profits, productivity, sustainable development, employee and customer well-being. The cooperative is a very special structure that is very suitable to use in local development.
Perspectives
Our article shows comparative research, that enabled us to add to the theoretical development of cooperative theory. Comparison of three countries proved that cooperative principles, values and the way of doing business is an enduring feature of agricultural businesses in our three countries, Canada, France, Hungary. Our research showed that cooperatives management is successful if it keeps to the principles and practices of cooperative theory.
