What is it about?
Phenol is a toxic compound for fish. It may be accumulated in the tissues of fish. We found a method for the analysis of phenol in the tissues following solvent extraction and derivtization to phenyl acetate.

Why is it important?
This is the first publication showing the analytical method for phenol in fish tissues.
Perspectives
We hope that this method is widely used for the analysis of phenol and its analogs in biological tissues as well as fish tissues.
