Physical properties of rough rice

What is it about?

We determined the effect of different levels of moisture content on some physical and mechanical properties for three different Hungarian rice varieties (Dáma, Janka and M488).

Why is it important?

The outcome of this study could be used as a useful data for modeling the mass transfer in the rice grain storage bins. Also, it will be a useful guide for designing equipment and developing methods to control some operations during grain production, harvesting, threshing, processing and rice milling.The proper design of machines to harvest, handle and store agricultural materials and convert them into food, feed and fiber requires full understanding of their physical and mechanical properties
