Why is it important?

Important to discover the cervical cancer in the early stages and avoid the complications . On the other side the impoporantace of engaged nurses to facilitate this test to run as a routine test during gynecological examination for every visitor and be one of the nurses preparation for women before physician examination.

Perspectives

The findings of this study delineated effective VIA as a screening test using stringent criteria. Nurses had reasonable knowledge concerning cervical cancer as well as junior clinicians and with proper training the nurses can perform these tests with acceptable accuracy regarding most steps of VIA with high sensitivity, however intensive training and periodic reinforcement sessions are needed to slightly limit the false positive predictive value among nurses.
