What is it about?
This article analyzes the process of integration into new consumption patterns of young rural wage earners in a territory of the Ecuadorian highlands, where flower and broccoli agribusinesses predominate. Based on a case study, it seeks to show the conditions that allow young wage earners to adopt new consumption habitus far from the traditional patterns linked to agricultural activities and closer to the consumption of global goods, a process closely linked to their position in the social field.
