What is it about?
The study showed that the percentage of preterm births in the period mentioned was 4.7% of all births, the majority where product of spontaneous preterm vaginal births, from which 88% were born between 34 and 36 weeks of gestation

Why is it important?
Preterm births account for 75% of perinatal mortality and more than half the long-term morbidity worldwide and unfortunately to date, no identifiable cause is found for spontaneous preterm labor. This study was done to know the prevalence of PTB in one of the big hospitals in Sudan.
Perspectives
This was my first research and publication experience, and it opened my eyes to the wide doors of research. I really had unforgettable experience doing it.
