Sedation, analgesia and description of terminality were shown to be adequate, but there were deficiencies in the recording of information to relatives.

Perspectives

We may conclude there is a need for a broader encouragement to the teaching of palliative care and Bioethics during undergraduate and graduate courses for professions of the health field.
