What is it about?
Chronic high fat diet (HFD) consumption leads to obese-insulin resistance. We show that Dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitor shares similar efficacy as caloric restriction (switching from HFD to normal diet) for metabolic improvement, but exerts better cardioprotection than caloric restriction in HFD-induced obese-insulin resistant rats.
