What is it about?
The endocrine system involves hormones traveling in the bloodstream and mediating effects in areas of the body which the blood brings them to. We understand a lot about hormone production and action, however the way in which hormones leave the bloodstream and move to target tissues is less well understood. Here we show that by modifying movement of an anti-diabetic hormone out of the bloodstream, corticosteroids may affect body metabolism.
