Vildagliptin reduces cardiac ischemic-reperfusion injury in obese orchiectomized rats

What is it about?

Male ageing and obesity are associated with coronary heart disease. Here we showed that antidiabetic drug in the class of dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitor provides similar efficacy as male hormone supplement in protecting the heart in obese-testosterone deficiency rats.
