What is it about?
Dietary fibers, found in fruit and vegetables, exert metabolic benefits regarding body weight. Recent observations indicate that they produce their benefits by providing precursors for a gut function able to signal to the brain. These precursors are generated through the fermentation of fibers by the intestinal microbiota.
