The effects of liraglutide in mice with diet-induced obesity studied by metabolomics

What is it about?

The effect of liraglutide, the widely used agent for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus, was for the first time studied in mouse model of diet-induced obesity and diabetes using NMR-based metabolomics. We found several metabolic changes induced by the therapy, which can be possibly utilizied in the personalization of antidiabetic therapy in humans.
