What is it about?
This book tells the story of how groundwaters and mineral springs have been slowly incorporated into public water systems and commodity markets over the last 500 years in Mexico. Despite this integration, these waters continue to be seen as unique, therapeutic, and healthful.

Why is it important?
This is the first book to discuss the plurality cultural understandings of water in Mexico. It highlights the many ways that people value water and helps us think about creating a more sustainable relationship to the hydrosphere at a time of environmental crisis.
Perspectives
This book is an exploration of some of the most positive, everyday and personal interactions people have with water - bathing, drinking, relaxing, playing. I thoroughly enjoyed thinking about my own experiences with the many waters in my life.
