What is it about?

What happens if a thick titanium target is bombarded with medium energy alpha beam? This paper tells that radioisotopes of three elements, Sc, V, Cr, are produced simultaneously. The radioisotopes are suitable for clinical use. Therefore a. nice chemistry with liquid anion exchanger was developed to separate them in individual confinement.

Why is it important?

Three important radioisotopes were produced simultaneously and separated them from the target matrix.

Perspectives

Three radioisotopes were produced at the same time. A fine chemistry separated them individually.
