What is it about?
PP copolymer is a versatile and cost effective material used in injection molding. Its mechanical and physical properties vary as a function of molding parameters and storage. This study aims to characterize changes occurring on the critical material properties that are important for subsequent processing.

Why is it important?
Our findings show that a clarified PP copolymer requires less time of stabilization before any further processing occurs as evidenced by density measurements. Molding parameters, specifically cooling time, and the clarifier presence or absence are important to determine how quickly material stabilizes. The study provides valuable data for clarifier, injection molding and storage or time effects on material properties in lieu of further processing considerations.
