What is it about?
Sealants are used to minimize the intrusion of moisture and air into a wide range of structures like buildings, vehicles, boats, etc. The mechanical behavior of a sealant is critical to its proper performance, but measuring this behavior is complicated. This paper provides a detailed study of some important complications to support a development of a standardized test method.
