What is it about?

Excess fly ash from coal combustion has over the years been stored outdoors in wet conditions. This fly ash could be harvested and used as a partial replacement for portland cement in concrete if it is reactive. This study looked at the reactivity of high calcium fly ash after outdoor storage and found that it could have value in concrete.
