What is it about?

The effect of re-vibration on lightweight concrete at different time lags, mainly before and after the final setting time of the cement, has not been sufficiently investigated, particularly the use of ‘Bonza’ LWA. Moreover, the effect of the addition of a set retarder admixture to the mixes or replacing the cement by any pozzolanic material was not thoroughly investigated by the researchers. Therefore, in this study, the effects of re-vibration at different time lags of casting on the compressive and splitting tensile strength properties were studied. The effect of the re-vibration on the volume of permeable voids and lightweight concrete density was also investigated.
