What is it about?

We summarize the currently used second-generation antipsychotic drugs to treat schizophrenia and psychotic disorders. The therapeutic effect on positive and negative schizophrenic symptoms is described. Besides, adverse effects such as extrapyramidal symptoms, increases of blood sugar, cholesterol and blood pressure, cardiac side effects are considered.
