What is it about?
Abstract: The essay deals with the question of how much didactic structures si- multaneously reflect specialised theological topics and empirical studies on re- ligious education. The basis for religious education behind this procedure just doesn't pick up on current pedagogical points for discussion. It involves pupils conversing about artefacts of Christian heritage in such a way that on the one hand relationships are formed between the pupils and the artefacts, on the other hand theological discussions are made possible through examining the specific content of the particular artefact. Hermeneutic categories enlarge the spectrum of religious education and create space for inter-religious discussions.
