What is it about?

This paper examines the state of the art of German adventure tourism research. It takes a closer look at adventure tourism and comes up with a definition of adventure tourism in German language. Current literature on the topic of adventure in Germany is reviewed. Study programmes and courses with a focus on adventure are discussed, yet there are hardly any to report. This paper postulates more focus on advenmture tourism, both in research and in education.
