What is it about?
The New Kosciuszko Foundation Dictionary (2nd edition) is an application for mobile devices (2016) which continues the tradition of a mid-20th century dictionary between Polish and American English. The paper, authored by one of the dictionary's editors, reports on the history and particularities of this lexicographic project, emphasizing both what is new and what has remained basically unchanged.

Why is it important?
The paper may be of interest to bilingual dictionary makers worldwide, as many similar projects, involving the updating and digitization of older reference works, are now underway.
Perspectives
Writing this article provided me with an opportunity to share my reflections on the practice of bilingual lexicography with other specialists in the field as well as laypersons interested in (the stories behind) dictionaries.
