Why is it important?

Because it is an account of people and facts written by a scholar who was there since the beginning.

Perspectives

This paper allowed me to present the creation and development of a discipline from the inside. Digital Humanities in Spain were possible because of a series of personal and political developments. I was fortunate to participate in it since the beginning and devoted a large part of my professional career to it. The paper is not organized from a subjective perspective, but on the constitution and development of schools and lines of research.
