What is it about?
This is a comparative analysis of conditional in the theories of al-Farabi and Avicenna. Both authors distinguish between various more or less strong kinds of conditional, but their analyzes of them are different. We show that Avicenna, although influenced by al-Farabi, provides a more developed account of the conditional.

Why is it important?
It provides a precise and detailed analysis of a subject that has not been yet very much studied by contemporary scholars. The study is both historical and conceptual, as both theories are compared to some well known modern accounts of conditional.
Perspectives
My perspective is not only historical, it is also theoretical since the theories studied are also considered from the perspective of the modern views about conditional.
