What is it about?

The article shows and explains the various diagrams designed by Peirce and found in his manuscripts, explaining how he got to the best known model, reproduced in the Collected Papers and other literature.

Why is it important?

It explains Peirce's own diagrammatic reasoning, helping the reader to understand Peirce's theory and also serving as an example of how the design of diagrams might help the development of complex theories.

Perspectives

This is one of the various papers on Peirce's theory of signs that I published with my colleague João Queiroz, all related to our PhD research. As a designer, I'm particularly interested on the relations between this theory and the field of design.
