What is it about?

Rankings of genes or institutions will differ depending on the methodology used to create the ranking. We give a method which shows how well two sets of rankings agree (and therefore to what extent a ranking may be trusted.

People often think that rankings arrived at by some mathematical method are inherently trustable (true). The method we give indicates to what extent a ranking is to be relied on.
