Why is it important?
The study provides evidence that, in terms of phonological development, the child raised in two typologically distinct languages, Indonesian and German experienced CLI, but only for certain sound transfers.
Perspectives
This study has provided several resources to help understand the position of CLI in simultaneous bilingual acquisition. Besides, it confirms the potential benefits of early bilingualism such as knowing two languages naturally and early bilingualism does not cause confusion.
