What is it about?
We motivate an updated and modified version of Anselm's theory of atonement and respond to a common worry often posed to it, called the efficacy objection.

Why is it important?
It is important because we offer a restitution theory of atonement for evangelicals that is an alternative to penal substitution.
Perspectives
There is a need to challenge the variants of penal substitutionary atonement. We offer one alternative that we believe does more than penal substitution and does not encounter the same sorts of challenges.
