What is it about?
This paper describes a method to estimate the spatial information lost by measrement methods that utlize column integration. An atmospheric dispersion model is used in combination with a retrieval algorithm to find the best possible match between model and measured data and thereby estimating the 3D-plume.

Why is it important?
This method lets the user obtain additional and often crucial information regarding the 3D-distribution of a plume of chemicals.
