What is it about?
The Shia armed groups will influence the Iraqi state, and they will deepen and escalate the sectarian violence. Internally, they will dominate society. Externally they will be a driver of insecurity and instability for the all middle east.

Why is it important?
Our results for this research is that the Iraqi state transforms and changes to be a hybrid state. It means the federalism system has collapsed and the ethnic power-sharing is no longer the primary basis for cooperation between multi-ethnic groups.
